All our choir web hosting and email packages include the Spam Bouncer package. Spam Bouncer removes around 98% of unwanted email. You have full control of the way Spam Bouncer operates through your choir control panel. You can set it up to work in one of the following ways:
Add "SPAM:" to the message subject and deliver normally.
This is the safest setting to use at first. All mail Spam Bouncer considers is spam will arrive labelled as spam.
Send all spam mail to a spam mailbox
If you're worried about accidently losing mail, you can set up a mailbox called junk@yourchoir.org.uk and tell Spam Bouncer to send mail there. You can check the mail from time to time to make sure you haven't missed anything important.
Bounce or delete messages
Once you're happy Spam Bouncer is working properly for you, you can tell it to delete spam messages or send them back to the sender.
Advanced Settings
You are in full control of Spam Bouncer through your control panel
You can tell Spam Bouncer in which languages you wish to receive email. The default setting is English. You can choose up to 10 languages.
You can control how sensitive you want Spam Bouncer to be.
You can build up a list of "white" email addresses - known good ones.
You can build up a list of "black" email addresses - ones that should always be blocked.
Our experience is that you won't need these advanced functions. Spam Bouncer will probably work fine for you using the default settings.
